The cozy season can come: Pop sensation Ava Max has unveiled a brand-new Christmas song! “Christmas Without You” is a beautiful track, that provides a more contemplative holy atmosphere than Little Big‘s 2020 Christmas song did and has got the potential to become a real Christmas classic!
“Christmas Without You” has followed just a few weeks after the release of Ava Max’ 2020 debut album “Heaven & Hell”. The latter cemented her status as one of the world’s most listened to pop artists. Among others, the album includes the smash single “Kings & Queens” which has already become a worldwide anthem.
In the U.S., the track continues to climb relentlessly up the charts and is currently at #9, while in Germany it peaked at #16.
AVA MAX STEEP CAREER TRAIL
Straightforward and at the same time mysterious. Empowered and vulnerable at the same time. Sweet, but psycho… Duality is what drives Ava Max, making her one of the most listened pop artists in the world. She is the daughter of Albanian immigrants and has been working tirelessly to fulfill her dream since elementary school. Ava Max’s mother is no less than an opera singer. It’s fitting then that Ava was simply born with a wonderful voice. She started singing at a very early age and was also on stage at a young age. Therefore, it’s no wonder that she is such a power woman with a power voice!
In 2018, she catapulted onto the world stage with “Sweet but Psycho.” The song also hit #1 on the charts in Germany and stands at over 2.1 billion streams internationally. Ava’s rapid rise to pop superstardom was highlighted by the gold-award-winning singles “So Am I” “Salt” and “Kings & Queens”.
“Ava Max sheds her princess of pop title and crowns herself among elevated “Kings & Queens”. This one has all the goods for delivering another home run with its great melody and solid, hook-driven pop appeal.”, Billboard wrote about the 2020 summer hit she landed.
In addition, “Who’s Laughing Now”, which just hit 110 million streams worldwide, became extremely popular. Amidst all this buzz, she put together her debut album Heaven & Hell, which was released in mid-September and reached #7 on the German album charts.
NEW ALBUM “HEAVEN AND HELL”
After more than 4 billion streams for her previous songs, Ava Max released her highly anticipated debut album Heaven & Hell in September 2020. The album features eight new tracks, plus the 5 previously released and mentioned hit singles.
“Heaven & Hell” represents light and shadow, good and evil, and little angels and little devils on your shoulders,” Ava says regarding the meaning behind the album.
“I’m dealing with the duality of the challenges we face on a daily basis. Some songs are darkly colored, others more positive. Heaven & Hell is the middle ground.”
On Ava Max’s official Youtube channel you can already find the lyric videos to nearly all of the new album’s tracks, as well as funky remixes and impressive live performances of her songs!

AN AVA MAX CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
Only a couple weeks after her twisted and unique album, Ava Max dropped “Christmas Without You” in October this year. Admittedly, this may seem a bit early for the release of a Christmas song, but this is exactly the balm for the soul we need to end this troubled year relatively calmly.
With “Christmas Without You” the 26-year-old succeeded in creating a typical modern Christmas carol with a fashionable pop sound. So, dress warmly, George Michael!
In addition to Christmas bells and the angelic voice of Ava, the hit is simply harmonic and thus releases surges of serotonin as well es oxytocin in every listener.
Everyone wants to have their beloved ones around them during Christmas time, and so does Ava Max. Therefore, she sings about exactly this in her song:
“When I wake up on Christmas Day, I hope to see your face. […] Cause Christmas without you doesn’t feel like Christmas”
In conclusion: Even though 2020 was rather messed up, Ava Max managed to lighten the burden on all of our shoulders a little bit with plain Christmas spirit and good feelings. Embraced by the modern and pleasant tunes of the 2020 album hit and by the Christmas banger Ava landed, we are now maybe all able to leave this year peacefully and with hopes for a better future. And thus we beg you, Ava Max, please keep spreading waves of happy energy! And on that note: Merry Christmas everyone!
