Last night two of the greatest US personalities surprisingly published the first two episodes of a joint podcast. In the podcast they discuss topics such as belonging, fatherhood, marriage, and the current situation in America. The two also talk about their friendship, role models, and modern masculinity. Under the title “Renegades: Born In The USA” we now get an impressive insight into the life and feelings of the two friends Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen.

HIGHER GROUND AND SPOTIFY PRESENT ‘RENEGADES: BORN IN THE USA’

President Barack Obama’s and Michelle Obama’s production company, Higher Ground, and Spotify have released the second original podcast from their ongoing partnership, titled Renegades: Born in the USA.

Renegades: Born in the USA is an eight-episode podcast in which President Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen engage in in-depth and insightful conversations with one another to explore a wide range of topics including belonging, fatherhood, marriage, and the state of America.

It’s a personal, in-depth conversation between two friends exploring their past, their beliefs, and the country they love – how it was, how it is, and how it should be in the future.

As of yesterday, the first two episodes are exclusively available to the hundreds of millions of free and premium users of Spotify around the world.

The former president Barack Obama and the hall of fame musician Bruce Springsteen have been friends since they first met on the campaign tour in 2008.

Now, for the first time, Higher Ground and Spotify invite listeners to listen to the two discuss their hometowns and role models. Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen also explore modern masculinity. They also grapple with the painfully divided state of America today and consider how we can all move forward together.

The eight-episode series will offer listeners a groundbreaking, musical dialogue between the former president and one of America’s most iconic artists.

How did we get to this point? How can we get back to a more unified American story? This subject dominated so many of my conversations over the past year – with Michelle, with my daughters, and with friends.

And one of those friends happened to be Mr. Bruce Springsteen On the surface, Bruce and I don’t have much in common. But over the years we’ve found that we feel a lot the same way, be it at work, with family, or in America.

In our ways, Bruce and I have been on parallels Travel and try to understand this land that has given us both so much.

We have tried to record the stories of its people. We have looked for a way to join our quest for meaning, truth, and communion with the greater history of America connect.
