TRUE RELIGION IS BACK
The US-premium brand True Religion proudly presents the new face of the autumn/winter campaign 2018. However, it`s not just any face. But it`s one of the most popular faces of the world, with an even more popular name: Bella Hadid.
Howsoever, both, Bella Hadid as well as the US premium brand embody past and present eccentric and timeless characteristics. Moreover, both admire each other. The True Religion crew says:
“Bella was truly the right choice to combine the iconic essence of the brand with the modern look of the future.”
THE BELLA HADID TRUE RELIGION CAMPAIGN
So, as a convincing, self-confident L.A. woman with roots at home and abroad Bella Hadid inspired True Religion. Besides her role as source of inspiration, she was an essential part of the Campaign.
In the campaign you can see Bella Hadid. She appears in a pithy industrial environment with vintage washed jeans and a cut-off logo shirt. Additionally, we can see her topless in a high-waisted indigo jean, which presents the characteristic horseshoe seams on the back pockets.
“It was a great experience to shoot a meaningful denim campaign in Los Angeles,” says Bella Hadid. “I grew up with True Religion. Hence, I was delighted to open the next chapter of the brand.”
THE CREATIVE TEAM
Beside super model Bella Hadid, an all-star creative team was responsible to produce the campaign. Among others, Irish photographer Boo George was recruited to shoot the campaign. Furthermore, stylist Mimi Cuttrell and the Hair & make up duo Jen Atkin and Mary Phillips were responsible for Bella Hadid`s look.
THE ICONIC 5 POCKETS
Moreover, together they created complementary looks which lead True Religion in a new era while honoring and preserving the US labels legacy. The brand is well-known for the iconic 5 pocket jean and eye-catching campaigns. But it was quiet during the last few years. The market is difficult.
However, True Religion started its come back last year. At that time, the brand worked together with the aspiring actress Herizen Guardiola and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.
Now, the Bella Hadid campaign is the next step of True Religion`s revival. So, the campaign starts today, August 27. Finally, the collection is available from September 6 in UK and USA as well as Europe.
