She is known as the frontwoman of the successful German duo Glasperlenspiel. With “Rich Man,” she is now releasing a solo single. Moreover, it is her first title in English. And, it’s a powerful song for and about women’s empowerment sung by Carolin Niemczyk.
CAROLIN NIEMCZYK SINGS FOR WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT
I’ve been working with the founders Janina Hell and Felicitas Karrer for a long time. It was immediately clear to me that I wanted to support this network. It’s very important that we women help each other and stand up for an equal society together, says Carolin Niemczyk.
Janina and Fee asked me if I could imagine writing the soundtrack for Frauen100. Instantly, I had so many ideas and thoughts about it that I finished the song in a few days in the studio. Because for me as an artist, it’s a great opportunity to use my voice to advocate for more equality and solidarity among women.
There is also concentrated female power in the video. Thus, Carolin Niemczyk adds:
I am really happy that so many great and strong women are in my video. Emely Roberts, Maria Astor, Ursula Karven, Dennenesch Zoudé, Chryssanthi Kavazi, Kristina Vogel, Annika Lau, Pia Stutzenstein and Aminata Sanogo were able to take their time.
About women100
Patriarchy does not only prevail in distant countries and other cultures. Those structures that are thousands of years old disadvantage women in many situations everywhere. In their jobs as well as in private life.
Even in modern Western societies, women are still worse off than men. Fewer opportunities for advancement in the working world and lower wages in professional life result in a small pension. On average, senior women receive only half the pension compared to men.
In addition, there is daily physical and sexualized violence, which often ends in death. In order to put an end to these intolerable and intolerable abuses, PR women Janina Hell and Felicitas Karrer founded the Frauen100 movement.
Frauen100 brings together strong, and influential women from business, politics, media, entertainment, and sports.
We bring together inspiring personalities from different industries and positions to provide the impetus for female empowerment, women’s solidarity, and equality. The focus is on tolerance, respect, and social dissonance from the women’s point of view,
says the website (www.frauen100.com). 100 strong women quickly became over 250 supporters, and the feminist platform is getting more and more popular every day. In addition to petitions, and event dinners on topics such as “love without violence”, solidarity, and feminist foreign policy, the network also collects donations for women in need. The video is out now.
