After an exclusive very early breakfast in the RESTAURANT DEN GAMLE ARREST – BY SKOVMOSE and a tour of the former prison, the V-GUIDES head very early in the morning to the wonderful WADDEN SEA. Of course, the girls also observe the high and low tides. But they got here early enough to witness a special spectacle known as the BLACK SUN.

After the myriad birds have darkened the sky, during the low tide the girls look for OYSTERS to enjoy themselves straight away. However, they have to hurry because the high tide will start soon (around 10 am). So the girls jump into a boat to watch the common seals on a SEAL SAFARI.

From MARSK CAMP – MARSK TOWER, the explorers experience the magnificent view before enjoying the GREAT TASTES of the Wadden Sea. Then it’s off to Denmark’s nature in the NATIONAL PARK.

Back in Ribe, it’s off to MUSEET RIBES VIKINGER and then to RIBE’S VIKINGECENTER, where the girls – dressed in eye-catching original Viking outfits – meet the Vikings and experience the Viking Market, Viking warriors, and Vikings on their Icelandic horses. The adventurers can find refreshments and a few snacks in the VIKINGECENTER CAFÉ.

This is followed by a visit to the JACOB A. RIIS MUSEUM, which tells the fascinating tale of the Ribe boy who emigrated to America in 1870 and was called by President Roosevelt the most helpful citizen in New York. The team continues to the Renaissance house TAARNBORG in the center.

Then, the V-GUDIES also discover the STATUE OF QUEEN DAGMAR on Slotsbanken and the MEMORIAL TO THE FALLEN FROM SCHLESWIG WARS.

As exciting as the stories about historical personalities may be, conversations with the people who shape Denmark today are at least as exciting. Therefore, the V-GUDIES are now meeting the glass artist ERNA MØLLER in the GLASS & GALLERY IN HANS TAVSENS HOUSE. She invites the artistically ambitious girls to play with glass. The crafts made out of horn by HORNVAREFABRIKKEN, which were founded in 1935, are also “Made in Denmark”.

The group is now leaving Ribe. After a stop at the MUSEUM – ART, CULTURE AND HISTORY at BRAMMING EGNSMUSEUM, they continue to ESBJERG.

Here it goes first to Denmark’s youngest lighthouse, LYNGVIG FYR, from which the girls enjoy the breathtaking view and discover the ZOO, which they then also pay a visit to.

In the MUSEUM OF THE SEA, the V-GUIDES learn more about the things that shaped Denmark, fishing, and seafaring. They learn a lot about the city before marveling at the harbor and the imposing large sculpture “MAN AT THE SEA“.

From the WATER TOWER, the girls can look as far as Ribe and Fanø. The 30-meter-high tower of THE OLD COURTHOUSE AND JAIL, the medieval castle Ting- og Arresthus in the middle of the town is just as high.

Of course, the friends stroll through the MUSEUM STREET H.C. ØRSTEDSGADE. In the ESBJERG MUSEUM, they learn a lot about the city’s history from 1900-1950, the times of occupation, and the resistance during the war.

The fashionistas pass the RAILWAY STATION FROM 1904 and enter the KONGENSGADE because ESBJERG CITY ist WEST JUTLAND’S SHOPPING MECCA. Then they visit the light sculpture “STAR CARPET” before going to the music house, where the girls experience one of the performances and then end the evening happily with friends.
