Florian Schneider, one of the great ones has left us. “The Model”, “Radioactivity” or “The Robots” are just three hits of the band that changed the world of modern music: Kraftwerk.

KRAFTWERK – THE LEGACY
The band’s influence can only be compared with the Beatles, Elvis Presley and The Rolling Stones. Genres like techno or hip hop would be unthinkable without the electro pioneers from Germany.

Courageously, and inspired they have changed the world since the 1970s. However, not only in the matter of music, but also socially.
KRAFTWERK – THE IMPACT
For example, after the terrible disaster in Fukushima, Kraftwerk played an updated version of their 1975th song “Radioactivity” in Japan. It was a very emotional event.
Florian Schneider founded together with Ralf Hütter Kraftwerk in Düsseldorf in 1970. So, they laid the foundation for bands like Depeche Mode, New Order, Rammstein as well as entire music genres that we admire today.

KRAFTWERK – THE CONCERTS
Kraftwerk’s concerts have always been special. Actually, the musicians stood only motionless behind their instruments. Moreover, they have even been partially replaced by robots. No dancers, no cool outfits.
It was all about pure music, complemented only by breathtaking video and light shows.

R.I.P. FLORIAN SCHNEIDER
Florian Schneider separated from the band 10 years ago. Now, at the age of 73 he died in his hometown Düsseldorf. Sadly, a great musician and visionary is gone. However, his musical legacy remains forever. R.I.P. Florian.
