Some places draw the crowds. And others attract those who value exclusivity and individuality. One of these magical locations is inevitably San Diego, with its blazing sunsets. Tom Cruise recently celebrated the world premiere of his mega-blockbuster Top Gun here. Similar to a film premiere, a brand – that is also closely connected to the movie biz – celebrated its new collection here. Even if this has nothing to do with Tom, countless top stars came to celebrate the Cruise 2023 Women’s Collection by Louis Vuitton.
THE VENUE OF THE CRUISE 2023 WOMEN’S FASHION SHOW
The location was just as impressive as the line-up of stars and the collection itself. Louis Vuitton chose San Diego, California. Let’s be more specific. The brand presented its Cruise 2023 show at The Salk Institute for Biological Studies. The imposing building was designed by architect Louis Kahn. On show night, it offered scenic views of the sunset over the ocean.
THE LOUIS VUITTON FRIENDS
In its spacious courtyard, the institute not only offered enough space for the models who presented at the Cruise 2023 show. There was also room for the crème de la crème of the international film and celebrity scene.
SAMARA WEAVING
Among the stars was the beautiful Samara Weaving, who showed us all what a brilliant actress she is in the movie Ready or Not. She appeared at the Cruise 2023 Women’s Fashion Show in an oversized shirt and suitable boots. Despite or perhaps because of the wide cut of her top, Samara radiated an incredible amount of femininity.
ANA DE ARMAS
Ana De Armas appeared in a black velvet skirt and overknee boots. Besides, the blue top was complemented with gold applications. It seams that the beautiful actress hasn’t had a break since Blade Runner 2049. Whereby “Knives Out” is certainly her absolute highlight until today.
MIRANDA KERR
Miranda Kerr also brought some gold sparkle to the Cruise 2023 fashion show. The top model and mother of three appeared perfectly styled in a white mini dress with gold applications and leather straps. Besides, she still exudes the Austalian way of life in the most beautiful way.
LÉA SEDOUX
Of course, Louis Vuitton’s muse Léa Seydoux didn’t miss the Cruise 2023 Women’s Show either. In a red suit, the Bond-Girl was a real eye-catcher.
CHLOE GRACE MORET
Sweet Chloe Grace Moret got the summer rolling. She combined her flower-power shirt with a simple tie and white pants.
LESLIE MANN
Of course, we know Leslie Mann from many comedies. Howsoever, we know her also from her funny performances during the Oscars Awards. Perhaps inspired by the golden statue, the humorous actress appeared at the Cruise 2023 Women’s Fashion Show in baggy gold front-tie pants. Leslie balanced the high glamor factor with a simple white shirt. In addition, she combined a silver bag with golden corners that harmonized perfectly with her trousers.
GEMMA CHAN
In contrast, Gemma Chan, who we know from Captain Marvel, appeared in a black and white graphic vest dress. Reduced and incredibly elegant at the same time.

The sun is guest of honor in the Cruise 2023 collection. It plays an active role in the evolution of this wardrobe, where temperature changes set a stylistic pace. The heat forces a nomadic aesthetic, between sand and cliffs, a fluid look.
The unique West Coast light creates prisms full of reflections on clothing. Linen, jacquard, silk, leather, tweed…create the illusion of a metallic palette that echoes and shimmers under the sun. The vibrations and reflections of the silhouettes glow in dialogue with the sunset.
