With his mega-catchy tunes, The Weeknd ushered in a true 80s revival. Now it goes on into the 90s with the new hit from Ava Max: My Head & My Heart.
MY HEAD & MY HEART ON YOUTUBE NOW
Admittedly, with the song, which was released at the end of 2020, Ava Max takes us back to the ’90s stylistically. Not only this, but she also makes use of a dance hit of that time, as the chorus line is a 1:1 copy of the ATC success Around the World.
Of course, Ava Max goes her own way. She uses completely new elements as well as her own lyrics. After she presented the song in a live performance in January, the official video is now also available on YouTube.
AVA MAX – SEXIER THAN EVER
My Head & My Heart shows Ava Max more lascivious and sexier than ever. With her video performance, it seems, she tries to follow dance icons like Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa. Apart from the music style and her sexy dance performance, Ava Max has one more thing in common with the latter.
Both have Albanian roots. Because Ava Max is the daughter of Albanian immigrants. She has grinded since grade school, exploding in the music world on a global scale with her 2018 triple-platinum smash Sweet but Psycho.
The song was streamed over 2.1 trillion times in 2020. Thus, Sweet but Psycho clinched a spot in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks.
AVA MAX’S GREATEST SUCCESSESES
Ava Max only accelerated this rapid rise to pop superstardom with the gold-selling So Am I with 704 Million Global Streams. Then, it was followed by Salt, and Kings & Queens. The latter reached 678 Million Global viewers. Also, Who”s Laughing Now was very successful. In the middle of this whirlwind, she pieced together her 2020 full-length Gold debut album, Heaven & Hell.
MY HEAD & MY HEART ON HEAVEN & HELL
Of course, this album also consists of her latest hit My Head & My Heart. Of the single Ava Max says, “I”ve been working on My head And My Heart in the studio last fall and waiting for the right moment to share it. I am so excited that it is out now, and I cannot wait for everyone to hear it!?
We’ll see and hear if My Head & My Heart can directly follow Ava‘s hit song Kings & Queens, about which Billboard wrote:
Ava Max sheds her princess of pop title and crowns herself among elevated Kings & Queens. This one has all the goods for delivering another home run with its great melody and solid, hook-driven pop appeal.
