After the team went food hunting yesterday, today it’s bargain hunting. For good luck and inspiration, the V-GUIDES first visit some of the beautiful churches, like the CHRISTIANSKIRKEN (Aarhus N), dedicated to King Christian X. They even discover its six-sided tower before they visit the SANKT MARKUS CHURCH.
Hereafter, the group goes shopping in the indoor second-hand market MEGA BARGAIN AT DGI-HUSET. The friends find even more bargains at HABENGUTMARKED AT GODSBANEN and the FLEA MARKET IN AMTSYGEHUSET. The stylish friends also discover sparkling creative handmade jewelry designs in the small shop AMOKSMYKKER.
They relax in TANGKROGEN PARK and the area near the beach. The team also looks for the best goodies and bargains at the AARHUS HUCKSTER MARKET (May). Of course, one or the other Danish beer will be enjoyed and conversations will be held with the visitors and exhibitors. Then it’s off to KLETTERN, BADMINTON, GOLF, and much more.
Late in the afternoon, it’s off to PAUSE RECOVERY STUDIO before the girls dress up for the evening to enjoy a performance at MUSIKHUSET Aarhus. Later, the friends are drawn to the concert hall’s culinary oasis, the CAFE JOHAN R. Here, they talk with many locals, artists, and others, about Aarhus’ and Denmark’s hygge, and way of life.
In some of the oldest streets in the city, MEJLGADE, known for its hip urban environment, the girls stroll from the illuminated CATHEDRAL to the ØSTBANETORVET SQUARE. Here, they not only satisfy their hunger but also meet many new friends. Together they enjoy the unique atmosphere in places like CAFÉ SAPPHO and others.
