This day will be adventurous and very long. Because there are many stops in the plan. After breakfast at HJARBAEK HAVN, the first destination is MØNSTED KALKGRUBERNE in STOHOLM JYLL. Here the V-GUIDES dive into the underworld of the lime pits and learn more about the hard work that people once had to do here.
After refreshments in the café, the team travels on to SKIVE. The V-GUIDES visit the SKIVE MUSEUM and the SKIVE KIRKE. Everywhere the pretty girls admire the equally pretty CHURCHES. The girls admire the well-preserved SPØTTRUP BORG and browse the SPOTTRUP ANTIQUE shops. On their way, they explore nature and discover the ROSLEV MOLLE. The group visits the BRAENDERIET LIMFJORDEN (brewery). Even if it’s still early in the day, they naturally want to taste the delicious Danish beer here. The girls then get some fresh air on a hike along the SUNDSORE LYSTBAADEHAVN (east).
Then it continues to AARS. Here the V-GUIDES explore the STENKISTEN (boulders), the VESTHIMMERLANDS MUSEUM, and the NUTIDSMUSEUM. The BORREMOSE FAESTNINGEN offers further insight into the history of Denmark. The V-GUIDES pass the BYPORTEN VED ROLDVEJ, RÆVEMOSEN, the AARS VANDTAARN (tower), and the beautiful CHURCHES.
In NØRAGER they find the small BOLDRUP MUSEUM, which also keeps Denmark’s history alive.
The ONE WORLD DISCOVERY aims to make it clear to people that we all live on one planet and should do so in peace and deep friendship. The huge protective bunker complex for the Danish royal family REGAN VEST in ROLD SKOV (REGERINGSANLÆG) impressively shows that until not so long ago, protection from neighbors was also necessary for the middle of Europe. Today we are friends and we can invest our efforts in mutual advancement rather than building such impressive but even scary facilities.
Afterward, the V-GUIDES visit THINGBÆK CHALK MINES, where they learn more about mining and the Cold War era. Continue to the LIME MININS at SKØRPING near STØVRING.
After the excursion through the underworld, the girls explore the LILLE VILDMOSE, where they overlook the fascinating landscape of the HØSTEMARK FOREST AND MARSH from the HØSTEMARK OBSERVATION TOWER. The animal lovers in ROVFUGLETÅRNET (Raptor Tower) dedicate a few moments to the proud Bird of Prey. Afterward, the girls relax with a stop at EGENSE BEACH near STORVORDE.
Then it heads west. On their way, the girls also pass the TROLDKIRKEN and only learn more about the burial mound and Denmark’s early history.
Their next destination is NIBE. Here, the V-GUIDES stop at one or the other GALLERY and the MUSEUM. They learn more about GLASS ART and the peculiarities of Danish nature. Maybe they also stop at the IDRÆTS- & KULTURCENTER to do some sports.
In any case, the lovely V-GUIDES visit the city’s most beautiful landmark, THORVALD ODGAARD (the Fjord Lady), before exploring the NIBE MARINA. From here the girls can also overlook the LIMFJORD. Then it’s on the water. So the active friends end up at FÆRKER ODDE BEACH (far north) in FUR.
Here the V-GUIDES learn more about Denmark’s early history from experts. During an excursion and a picnic together, the experts explain to the knowledge-thirsty adventurers what the layers of volcanic ash, sediments, and fossils are all about.
They learn more about it at the FUR MUSEUM. In the ART-STUDIOS, GALLERIES, and WORKSHOPS, of which there are more than 20 on Fur, the V-GUIDES continue to learn more from the artists about the techniques they use to try to capture the special atmosphere of the island.
