As provisions for the way, the V-GUIDES take some delicacies from the bakery, SVANEKE BRØD. Then they pay a visit to CHARLOTTE THORUP to learn more about her pottery and work. The group continues to the arts and crafts of POSTGADE 21. Im RE TJENERE RESTAURANT, the V-GUIDES strengthen themselves a little.

From the corner shop SVANEKE KØBMANDSHANDEL, they take delicious Bornholm goods – many of them vegan and gluten-free – for the next picnic on their trip, which now leads via GRISBY and AARSDALE to the ROCKING STONE IN THE PARADISE HILLS, the largest and most famous of the three big rocking stones that landed on Bornholm during the Ice Age. Here, the explorers will also find the other GAMLEBORG, which dates back to the 200th century AD.

The journey of discovery continues to HØSTET at SANDDORN BORNHOLM, where sea buckthorn, ecology, and fresh food are celebrated. The V-GUIDES stroll through the sea buckthorn plantations on the so-called “ FLØJLEGÅRD” and try the goods produced here in the FARM SHOP, such as jam, juices, pesto, and much more.

Then it’s on to BORNHOLMERTÅRNET (THE BORNHOLMER TOWER), the former listening post from the Cold War. At the adventure center and museum, the girls learn more about their time on the island before heading to NEXØ.

Here, they marvel at the interior, iron lamps, flax baskets, and visual art of STORMS RUM. At SOMMERNIPS OG SPINDELVÆV they delve deeper into the Danish art scene and at 2NDLIFEDESIGN the V-GUIDES admire the classic furniture that is manufactured or restored here. Of course, a detour to LIVING BORNHOLM is a must, because the girls want to buy more souvenirs for their fans.

The fact that castles and fortifications have always played a role in Bornholm is shown by the path that leads along the ring castle RISPEBJERG, which dates back to the year 0, and the BUNKER AND CANNON FACILITIES from the Second World War. After this historical excursion, the team heads to another special highlight because the path leads them to the wonderful DUEODDE BEACH, whose fine sand was used to be used for HOURGLASSES. The girls may also dare to go to the nudist beach JOMFRUGÅRD for an all-over tan before heading to the LIGHTHOUSE.

With some sport on the agenda at ØSTER SØMARKEN Beach, the V-GUIDES then treat themselves to some of the handmade chocolate and delicious ice cream that can be feasted on at KJÆRSTRUP CHOKOLADE in SNOGEBÆK.

Then it goes to the limestone quarry SKELBRO OG RISEBÆK, which has been closed since 1920. Perhaps the girls will also find fossils such as Orthoceras and trilobites here.

In ÅKIRKEBY/AAKIRKEBY the friends visit the Viking farm VÆRFELDTSGÅRD. After immersing themselves in the history of the time and being inspired by the Viking crafts and art of the time, the girls practice carving themselves.

It’s the last day of Bornholm. Therefore, the friends treat themselves to very exclusive luxury in the Michelin-starred KADEAU restaurant. After a delicious meal, the friends discover the leather goods from BROE & CO. (shoes, belts, bags) before visiting BORNHOLMS VALSEMØLLE, family-owned since 1920, processing local grain and selling it to local bakeries.

After the girls have learned more about this craft and its tradition and have helped a little, they go to the NATURBORNHOLM adventure center, where they discover an original model of a swan dinosaur and witness a story of its origin that began in 1.700 million years ago in the Sahara.

The trip continues through LOBBÆK and ARNAGER to RØNNE. In the capital and Bornholm’s cultural center, with 14,000 inhabitants, the girls take nice pictures at the famous SNAIL FOUNTAIN before they visit the designers of EVA BRANDT KERAMIK and MIE MØLGAARD (ceramics).

After an eventful visit to the MUSEUM, during which the V-GUIDES not only learn more about Bornholm’s history but also about the “GOLDGUBBEN“, the GRANDFATHER CLOCKS that were once built here, a visit to the jewelry designer HÉLÈNE DUFFAU is on the agenda. At TORVEHAL BORNHOLM the girls buy some top-quality food (gifts).

Then the team takes part in a pottery workshop in the HEJFABRIK (and/or the HJORTHS FABRIK – part of the museum). So, they learn even more about the design possibilities of ceramics. A shopping trip leads to the GUTEMENSCH STORE, where the friends can underline the claim “ICH BIN EIN BORNHOLMER” (I’m a Bornholmer).

Afterward, they meet Martin Kofoed in his distillery ØSTERSØENS BRÆNDERI. He shows the girls more about the gin craft. Now, it’s off to another Micheline-awarded restaurant, the DET RØDE PAKHUS. In that way, the last evening on Bornholm is coming to an end, but not before the V-GUIDES have attended one of the concerts at MUSIKHUZET. This is also where they meet the many friends they made on Bornholm and the islands this week.

After the concert, they go together to the wine bar and restaurant RÂZAPÂZ, where the evening comes to an end with nice conversations. Even if the friends turn night into day, the V-GUIDES are happy that the house is also a wonderful hotel where they can relax and prepare for the seventh week.
