What happens in Germany? After the European Elections last weekend, there is a big panic among the members of the old parties. Their reaction: Censorship. By using the hashtag #zensur the young generation continues the fight against the establishment.
The reason are comments from Germany’s leading party CDU. Above all, party leader Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer drop a brick after the other. One day after the elections, she threatened with regimentations and censorship (zensur) of YouTubers and Internet bloggers during election days.
The reason were videos of popular YouTubers, who invoked their million followers not to choose the CDU and the other old-established German parties. Of course, these influencers as well as all others will not accept any zensur /censorship in Germany.
The freedom of speech and the press freedom are some of the most important values of the country and the democracy itself. Therefore, the influencers started a petition. It was already singed by thousands of people.
Hence, it could be the beginning of the end of the old times in politics. Very good, as many thinks. The young generation has maybe not the experience. However, they have the power and will, the ideals and hopes that the old politicians lost, since they lost their relation to the people, and were focused only on money as well as on saving their pension.
NO CENSORSHIP (ZENSUR)
So, times of censorship (#zensur) are over. We look forward the power of the new generation, who doesn’t accept the arrogant behavior of the elite anymore. However, who makes the world a better place.
